    About the role#

    This Mechanical Engineering Co-op position offers the chance to gain technical experience through rotations across Engineering Lab, Computer-Aided Engineering, and Product Engineering departments. You will work alongside engineers and technicians to contribute to product development and testing. The term concludes with a design project where you manage the process from conceptual design and CAD layout to prototype testing and debugging. You will also present your findings to engineering leadership at the end of the term.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with setting up and conducting tests and gathering data.
    • Analyze test data and learn data analysis techniques.
    • Write test lab reports.
    • Learn to use Solid Edge CAD software for 3D modeling of parts and assemblies.
    • Build new design concepts and detailed drawings using CAD.
    • Assist engineers in product development and sustaining engineering activities.
    • Troubleshoot problems and develop creative solutions.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as an undergraduate student in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
    • Ability to work full-time during the scheduled semester.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
    • A cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher is preferred.
    • Practical experience with hand or power tools and demonstrated mechanical aptitude are preferred.
    • Ability to return for multiple co-op rotations is preferred.

    • Term: Winter 2027.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: This is a paid position with an hourly rate of $24-$28, depending on your year in school and experience.
