About the role#
Emerson is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to join our team in Minnesota. This role offers the chance to work on real engineering challenges and contribute to the development of new products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and gain experience with instrumentation used in global applications.
What you'll do#
- Design components including injection molded plastics, die and investment castings, stampings, and machined parts.
- Collaborate with global project teams to ensure designs meet internal requirements and industry standards.
- Support prototype construction, laboratory testing, and agency testing.
- Provide continuation engineering support for existing products.
- Identify and implement product and process cost reductions.
- Apply engineering practices to solve quality issues and interact with software, electrical, manufacturing, marketing, and supply chain teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) in an on-site capacity.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Zero years of related experience required.
