    About the role#

    This is a two-semester co-op position for the Winter and Summer 2027 sessions. You will work within the Research and Development, Product Design, Manufacturing Support, and Compliance Engineering teams. This role provides hands-on experience with engineering projects involving documentation, product design, testing, process improvement, and regulatory compliance.

    What you'll do#

    • Create 3D components, assemblies, and engineering drawings using Autodesk software.
    • Prepare and process Controlled Document Changes (CDCs).
    • Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) in the ERP/MRP system.
    • Assist with researching and implementing material deviations.
    • Develop procedures to support and improve manufacturing processes.
    • Contribute to cost reduction and process improvements.
    • Support hands-on prototyping, assembly, and manufacturing tasks.
    • Support quality assurance practices consistent with ISO standards.
    • Communicate effectively with peers, suppliers, and customers.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program for Mechanical Engineering.
    • Completed at least four semesters of school, including two semesters in the engineering program.
    • Previous 3D CAD experience.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and OneNote.
    • Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering drawings.
    • Familiarity with prototyping methods and manufacturing processes.
    • Ability to work both individually and in a collaborative team environment.
    • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in Standard English.
    • Hands-on design and testing experience from projects, coursework, or previous internships.

    • Location: Strongsville, Ohio.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Full-time.
    • Compensation: This is a paid position.
    • Physical requirements: You must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and stoop. The role requires the ability to travel throughout a multi-floor office and shop area, including climbing stairs. You may occasionally need to lift up to 50 pounds.
