About the role#
The Manufacturing Engineering Co-op is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Marshalltown, Iowa. This role supports manufacturing processes and projects across the business. We are looking for students to join us for terms in Winter, Summer, or Fall of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support and promote a strong safety culture within the facility.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues using root cause analysis tools to identify sources and provide corrective solutions.
- Design tooling, jigs, fixtures, and facilities equipment using SolidWorks.
- Develop best practices and procedures, communicating these through visual workplace tools, training, and meetings.
- Determine specifications and initiate the purchase of materials and components.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments on projects from inception to completion.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Junior or Senior class standing.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in manufacturing.
- Experience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
