About the role#
As a Data Science Engineering Intern, you will work alongside engineers and operational leaders to build predictive tools that impact supply chain performance. You will gain experience in data science project lifecycles within a manufacturing environment, moving from data exploration to model deployment.
What you'll do#
- Develop a Power BI dashboard to predict future past-due backlog based on supply chain and material status data.
- Build weekly forecasts for late backlog, risk heat maps, and simulation tools to quantify impacts on material and capacity.
- Create a predictive surge capacity model for low-volume product lines to guide investment prioritization.
- Apply statistical modeling and forecasting to translate operational datasets into insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate models and gather business requirements.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) on-site.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
