About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience building AI-powered solutions to improve software quality, security, and engineering efficiency. You will join development teams to work on real-world projects that support enterprise-scale industrial automation software. You will be paired with a dedicated mentor to guide your work and will participate in company networking events.
What you'll do#
- Build software applications, services, and integrations using modern engineering practices and AI technologies.
- Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and engineering leaders.
- Engage with the full development life cycle, including agile methodology, system design, and test-driven development.
- Use test automation, build management, and configuration management tools.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (sponsorship is not provided).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Go, Kotlin, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools, LLMs, AI agents, machine learning concepts, or prompt engineering.
- Experience with modern web frameworks like Angular or React.
- Understanding of cloud-native technologies, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and Azure AI Services.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tooling, and test automation frameworks.
- Interest in industrial automation software, PLC development, and manufacturing technologies.
Location & details#
- Positions are located in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, or Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term (June through August).
- The role follows a hybrid work model.
