    About the role#

    Emerson is looking for an Additive Manufacturing Co-op to join the Flow Controls team in Marshalltown, Iowa. This is a full-time, paid, on-site co-op position. You will work on projects from the initial planning stages through to component design and prototype creation.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage Emerson-wide projects, including project planning, prototype creation, and component design.
    • Evaluate engineering and business constraints to determine which parts are suitable for additive manufacturing.
    • Assess systems and processes to improve the efficiency of part creation.
    • Document findings and lessons learned while producing parts using Laser Powder Bed Fusion.
    • Assist in identifying new technologies or support systems to improve additive manufacturing workflows.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering, specifically Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
    • General experience with 3D printing or additive manufacturing.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to document work and organize project details effectively.
    • Capability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
