About the role#
The MTBI Co-op assists in the development and implementation of mechanical assembly policies and procedures. You will work directly with the Production Lead to ensure project tasks are completed on schedule while following company safety standards.
What you'll do#
- Assemble parts using hand tools in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Read and interpret machine-tool build assembly drawings.
- Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts using measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and scissor lifts, including work at heights.
- Travel to customer locations to support service and installation teams.
- Follow all safety protocols and help promote a safe work culture.
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary degree or diploma program related to Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities without supervision.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to provide an MVR driving record.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends or travel as required.
- Ability to work as a self-starter within a team.
