About the role#
The Governance and Portfolio Oversight team within the Project Management and Construction (PMC) organization is looking for an intern. You will support business operations, portfolio reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This role involves working on large-scale energy infrastructure projects, including renewable solar, bulk energy storage, and natural gas facilities. You will assist the team with data collection, report development, and strategic initiatives to support data-driven decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Automate project and portfolio reporting processes.
- Develop and document business process workflows.
- Analyze data and create dashboards using Power BI.
- Support reporting governance and data quality initiatives.
- Assist with performance improvement and business optimization efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year degree program in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Business Management, Data Science, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- You must not graduate before August 2027.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Experience researching information on the web.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs for creating spreadsheets, documents, databases, and forms.
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, requiring a reasonable commute to the facility.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Travel: 5 to 15 percent travel may be required.
