About the role#
Dominion Energy is seeking an intern to support operations and maintenance at the Clover Power Station. This role offers hands-on experience in a power generation environment while working alongside professionals across multiple functional areas, including engineering, safety, and technical services. You will assist with day-to-day plant activities and contribute to projects that support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the station.
What you'll do#
- Support equipment inspections and collect or analyze operational data.
- Assist teams in areas such as operations, maintenance, and environmental services.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and project research.
- Attend team meetings and observe plant activities to learn about power generation processes and industry standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering at an ABET-accredited institution.
- A GPA of 2.5 or above.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Initiative and a willingness to learn engineering concepts in a power generation setting.

- Compensation: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour.
