About the role#
Dominion Energy is seeking a Power Generation Engineering Intern for the Warren Power Station. This role provides hands-on experience in a power generation environment. You will work alongside professionals across operations, maintenance, engineering, environmental, safety, and technical services. The position helps you understand power generation processes, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do#
- Support daily operations and maintenance activities at the plant.
- Assist with equipment inspections and collect or analyze operational data.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and project research.
- Contribute to station reliability and performance efforts.
- Attend team meetings and observe day-to-day plant functions.
- Support projects focused on the safe and efficient operation of the station.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering at an ABET-accredited institution.
- Expected graduation date in 2028 or 2029.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and apply engineering concepts in the field.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Initiative and a willingness to learn.

- Compensation: $27.00 to $29.00 per hour.
