About the role#
Dominion Energy is looking for a Power Generation Engineering Intern to work at the Mt. Storm Power Station. You will work alongside experienced professionals across multiple functional areas, including Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Environmental, Safety, Electrical, Mechanical, and Technical Services. This role provides hands-on experience in a power generation environment.
What you'll do#
- Support equipment inspections and collect operational data.
- Analyze data and assist with project research.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to station reliability and performance efforts.
- Develop an understanding of power generation processes, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Observe and participate in day-to-day plant activities and attend team meetings.
- Support projects that contribute to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the station.
What you'll need#
- Working towards an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree from a 4-year college or university.
- A graduation date of Spring 2028 or later.
- A GPA of 2.5 or above.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn and apply new concepts.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety and continuous learning.

- Compensation: Paid position ($23.00 - $28.00 per hour).
