About the role#
As a Health Physics intern, you will gain practical experience in radiation protection and safety. You will work alongside experienced professionals to contribute to safety initiatives and projects while building your professional network.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and evaluate radiation levels in various work environments.
- Support the implementation of radiation safety protocols.
- Conduct radiation surveys and write detailed reports on your findings.
- Calibrate and maintain radiation detection instruments.
- Participate in safety audits and inspections.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Physics, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Health Physics, Radiological Science, or Environmental Science.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- An expected graduation date of 2028 or later.
- A basic understanding of radiation physics and safety principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- The ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

- Location: Jenkinsville, South Carolina.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Compensation: $22.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on your academic major and school classification.
