About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. Under the guidance of a preceptor, you will complete a training roadmap designed to prepare you for a future role as a Pharmacist. You will gain a broad overview of store, district, and regional operations while supporting the pharmacy team in delivering safe and accurate patient care.
What you'll do#
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Provide empathetic, caring service to patients and assist with medical questions or history intake under pharmacist supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and facilitate medication changes where permitted.
- Mentor and coach pharmacy team members while sharing best practices.
- Manage basic inventory tasks, such as processing deliveries, cycle counts, and returns.
- Deliver health services including immunizations and point-of-care testing, while monitoring for adverse reactions and documenting patient information.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding controlled substance dispensing and patient privacy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- At least 1 year of work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service environment.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Flexibility to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market.

- This is a part-time, on-site position with a rolling term.
