About the role#
This internship provides direct support to the Electric Distribution Design Center of Excellence group. You will work under the direction of a supervisor or mentor to gain experience in data analysis, modeling, and data science. This role offers exposure to business performance, finance, systems, operations, and engineering solutions within the energy sector.
What you'll do#
- Learn entry-level aspects of data governance, including cataloging, acquisition, quality, analysis, and interpretation.
- Build interactive data visualizations.
- Support business metadata and business rules.
- Influence the remediation of data quality defects.
- Analyze business requirements as part of a cross-functional team.
- Assist with the development of model strategies and solutions.
What you'll need#
- A graduation date of Spring 2028 or later.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- A valid driver's license.
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems Technology, or a related field.
- A solid understanding of data-driven performance technologies, tools, processes, metrics, and analytics.
- Strong analytical and abstract thinking skills with the ability to apply data analytics theories to industrial problems.
- Effective planning, organizing, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer software programs.
- Strong professional ethics and the ability to follow written and verbal procedures.
- Clear oral and written communication skills, including technical writing.
- The ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Compensation: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour.
