About the role#
DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the Fall 2026 course DES-337-A, World Building. This position involves supporting the instructor, Rich Rowan, during Friday classes and assisting with course-related tasks. This is a paid, part-time, on-site student position requiring 5 to 10 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist the instructor in the classroom with equipment setup and operation.
- Facilitate student presentations and answer student questions during labs.
- Perform pre-grading of assessments.
- Meet weekly with the instructor for performance feedback.
- Track and report all hours worked.
- Provide mentorship and support to students as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Successful completion of DES-337 with a grade of B or better.
- Proven proficiency with the course material.
- A positive attitude toward learning and a willingness to help others succeed.
- Ability to interact with students on an instructional level.
- Reliability in arriving on time and maintaining focus during work hours.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Term: August 31, 2026, to December 13, 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site only. Students must reside within the State of Washington.
- Eligibility: Students must not work during any time they have a scheduled class. This position is open to students across various majors including Art, Communications, Media Studies, Graphic Design, Psychology, History, Political Science, and English.
