DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking a Student Teaching Assistant for the Fall 2026 course DES-337-A: World Building. This position supports the instructor in classroom operations and provides mentorship to students enrolled in the course.
What you'll do#
- Assist the instructor with classroom setup, equipment operation, and slide deck management.
- Facilitate student presentations and provide support during lab sessions.
- Answer student questions and offer guidance on course material.
- Conduct pre-grading of assessments and assist with grading tasks outside of class.
- Submit attendance records and track your own work hours for reporting.
- Meet weekly with the instructor for performance feedback.
What you'll need#
- Must be a currently matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Must have completed DES-337 with a grade of B or better.
- Proven proficiency with the course material and a positive, helpful attitude toward student learning.
- Ability to interact with peers in an instructional and mentorship capacity.
- Reliability in attendance and focus during work hours.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington (On-site work required; must reside in Washington state).
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 31 – December 13, 2026).
- Hours: 5-10 hours per week.
- Class schedule: Fridays, 3:00 p.m. – 5:50 p.m.
- Compensation: $17.13 - $18.25 per hour, based on prior terms worked at DigiPen.
