About the role#
The Computer Science Department is seeking a Teaching Assistant for CS-200 Computer Graphics I for the Fall 2026 term. This role supports the instruction of 2D graphics programming, including the 2D viewing pipeline, transformations, rasterization, and OpenGL.
What you'll do#
- Assist students with C++ and Python programming assignments and debugging.
- Support weekly lab sessions and hold office hours to clarify technical concepts.
- Grade programming assignments, labs, and exams using instructor-provided rubrics.
- Help students understand OpenGL, GLSL, transformations, rasterization, and texturing.
- Provide feedback on code quality and graphics algorithms.
- Accurately track and report hours worked.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current, matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Must have previously completed CS-200 at DigiPen with a grade of B or better.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Good understanding of 2D computer graphics, linear algebra, and geometric transformations.
- Familiarity with OpenGL, GLSL, GLM, bitmaps, texturing, and rasterization.
- Good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Ability to debug graphics programs and explain technical concepts clearly.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Redmond, Washington. Remote work outside of Washington is not permitted.
- Employment dates are August 31 through December 15, 2026.
- The role requires approximately 20 hours per week.
- Students may not work during any time when they have a class scheduled.
