About the role#
The Computer Science Department at DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking a Teaching Assistant for CS-200 Computer Graphics I. This role supports students in mastering 2D graphics programming, including transformations, rasterization, the 2D viewing pipeline, and OpenGL implementation.
What you'll do#
- Assist students with C++ and Python programming assignments and technical debugging.
- Support weekly lab sessions and maintain regular office hours.
- Grade programming assignments, labs, and exams using instructor-provided rubrics.
- Help students understand core concepts such as OpenGL, GLSL, transformations, rasterization, and texturing.
- Provide feedback on code quality and graphics algorithms while reporting academic concerns to the instructor.
- Accurately track and report all hours worked.
What you'll need#
- Must have previously completed CS-200 at DigiPen Institute of Technology with a grade of B or better.
- Strong programming proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Solid understanding of 2D computer graphics, linear algebra, and geometric transformations.
- Familiarity with OpenGL, GLSL, GLM, bitmaps, texturing, and rasterization.
- Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology in good academic standing.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington, USA.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 31 to December 15, 2026).
- Commitment: Up to 20 hours per week.
- Note: Students must reside within the State of Washington and are not permitted to work during scheduled class times.
