    About the role#

    This is a paid Teaching Assistant position for the course ART-1000-B (Zankowski) during the Fall 2026 term. The role requires 8 hours of work per week and is based on-site in Redmond, Washington. Applicants must be currently matriculated students at DigiPen Institute of Technology with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and must have passed ART-1000 with a grade of B or better. Students are not permitted to work during any time they are scheduled for a class.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist the instructor with classroom equipment setup and operation, including slide decks.
    • Facilitate student presentations and answer student questions during labs.
    • Take notes during class lectures and make copies for students.
    • Grade student work, provide constructive feedback, and upload grades to Moodle.
    • Deliver graded reports and assignments in a timely manner while maintaining consistency.
    • Send reminder notifications to students regarding upcoming deadlines and missed assignments.
    • Assist students during published office hours and meet online if required.
    • Track and report hours worked.

    What you'll need#

    • Proven proficiency with the ART-1000 course material and an interest in art history.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
    • A positive attitude toward learning and a willingness to help others excel.
    • Ability to interact with students on an instructional level as a mentor and provide professional critique.
    • Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to the success of fellow students.
    • Previous experience as a TA, tutor, or mentor is preferred.
    • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds, with the role requiring approximately 80 percent sitting, 10 percent walking, and 10 percent standing.

    • Location: Redmond, Washington, United States.
    • Employment dates: August 31, 2026, to December 10, 2026.
    • Work modality: On-site only. Remote work outside of Washington is not permitted.
    • Compensation: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on the number of terms worked at DigiPen.
