This is a paid Teaching Assistant position for the ART-1000-B course (Zankowski) during the Fall 2026 term. The role supports the instructor in classroom operations and student mentorship. You will work approximately 8 hours per week from August 31 to December 10, 2026.
What you'll do#
- Take notes during class lectures and assist with equipment setup or operation.
- Facilitate student presentations and send reminder notifications regarding deadlines.
- Grade student work, provide constructive feedback, and upload grades to Moodle.
- Assist students during published office hours and answer questions during labs.
- Maintain consistency and clarity in grading while ensuring timely delivery of reports.
- Track and report all hours worked.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Proven proficiency with the course material and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Completion of ART-1000 with a grade of B or better.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to helping fellow students succeed.
- Previous experience in tutoring or mentoring is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: On-site in Redmond, Washington.
- Wage: $17.13 – $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at the institution.
- Residency: Must reside within the State of Washington.
- Requirements: Applicants must submit a resume, cover letter, and current academic schedule. Note that student employees may not work during any scheduled class times.
