About the role#
The Lubin School of Business Dean’s Office is seeking a Student Assistant to support student engagement, recruitment events, and administrative projects. You will work closely with the Dean’s Office to help execute events that enhance the student experience and support school-wide initiatives. This role requires a professional, friendly individual who can interact effectively with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
What you'll do#
- Plan, coordinate, and execute student and prospective student events, including open houses and information sessions.
- Manage event logistics such as setup, registration, and communications.
- Create and edit professional PowerPoint presentations that follow university brand guidelines.
- Maintain digital event materials, photographs, and resources.
- Identify and contact students for panels, develop scripts, and lead practice sessions.
- Collect and manage student engagement and assessment data.
- Provide basic technology and IT support during meetings and events.
- Assist with general administrative projects for the Dean’s Office.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Lubin undergraduate sophomore or junior.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to create visually appealing presentations using PowerPoint and Canva.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Comfort working with technology and troubleshooting basic issues.
- Reliability and the ability to work some evenings and weekends for major events.
- Prior experience in event planning, marketing, or office administration is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, NY.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week during the semester, with up to 35 hours per week during breaks. Evening and weekend availability is required for specific events.
