About the role#
This position is a Student Teaching Assistant role for DES-100-B Lab 1 during the Fall 2026 term. You will support the instructor and help students succeed in their coursework. This is a paid, part-time position requiring 5-10 hours per week. You must be a currently matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology to qualify. Work must be performed on-site in Redmond, Washington, and you must reside within the state.
What you'll do#
- Grade student work and upload results to Moodle.
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their assignments.
- Assist students during in-person labs on campus.
- Meet with students online if requested.
- Maintain consistency and clarity in your grading.
- Track and report your hours worked.
- Attend weekly meetings with the instructor for feedback.
What you'll need#
- Proven proficiency with Unity and visual scripting.
- A positive attitude toward learning and a desire to help others.
- Comfort interacting with other students as a mentor.
- Ability to arrive on time and focus on your duties during work hours.
- You must be able to attend at least one lab section in its entirety.
- You must have taken and passed DES-100 with a B or better.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and good academic standing.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Class time: Tuesday, 2:00 to 4:20 p.m.
- Wage: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on your experience at DigiPen.
- Physical requirements: You may need to lift up to 25 lbs, with the role requiring 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing.
