Student Front Desk Representative (FWSA Only), F26 - S27

About the role#

This position supports the full-time front desk staff by assisting with daily operations, covering breaks, and working on ad hoc projects. This role is open only to currently matriculated students at DigiPen Institute of Technology who have an accepted Federal Work Study award. The position requires on-site work in Redmond, Washington, and is not permitted for students residing outside of the state.

What you'll do#

• Greet visitors, students, faculty, and staff professionally.
• Inform students of available campus resources, including career services, counseling, and academic support.
• Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion in compliance with campus privacy policies.
• Assist with office technology such as computers, printers, and copiers.
• Ensure the front desk area is organized, well-stocked with supplies, and maintains a welcoming environment.
• Manage mail and package distribution and assist with scheduling appointments or event bookings.
• Direct visitors to the appropriate department and ensure security procedures are followed.
• Track and report hours worked accurately.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
• Eligibility for Federal Work Study with an accepted award.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• A positive, friendly attitude and the ability to work independently.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds, as well as some stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Previous front desk or receptionist experience is preferred.

Location & details#

• Location: Redmond, Washington.
• Term: August 31, 2026, through April 23, 2027.
• Hours: 4 to 20 hours per week, scheduled around your classes.
• Compensation: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on terms worked at the institution.
• Note: Students may not work during any time they have a class scheduled.
