About the role#
This position supports the full-time front desk staff by assisting with daily operations, ad hoc projects, and administrative tasks. The role requires a student who can maintain a professional environment while managing office duties during staff breaks and absences. This position is open only to current students with an accepted Federal Work Study award.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors, students, faculty, and staff with a professional attitude.
- Inform students about campus resources including career services, counseling, and academic support.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain compliance with privacy policies.
- Assist with office technology such as computers, printers, and copiers.
- Manage mail and package distribution.
- Schedule appointments and meetings for departments or student organizations.
- Ensure the front desk area remains organized and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Direct visitors to the appropriate campus departments and enforce security procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Eligibility for Federal Work Study with an accepted award.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, remain punctual, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Capacity to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, or carrying items.
- Previous front desk or receptionist experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Term: Fall 2026 to April 23, 2027.
- Schedule: 4 to 20 hours per week, depending on class schedule.
- Compensation: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on terms worked at the institution.
- Note: Students are not permitted to work during any time they have a scheduled class.
