    About the role#

    This position is for a Teaching Assistant for CS-260 Computer Networks I (Rasa) for the Fall 2027 term. TAs assist the instructor with classroom operations, grading, and student support. This is a paid, part-time position requiring up to 10 hours of work per week. Applicants must be currently matriculated students at DigiPen Institute of Technology in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist the instructor with classroom setup and tear-down of tables and easels.
    • Grade student work, including lab reports, using provided guidelines.
    • Provide constructive feedback to students and upload grades to Moodle.
    • Support students during labs and office hours.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
    • Track and report hours worked accurately.

    What you'll need#

    • Successful completion of CS-260 with a grade of B or better.
    • Proven proficiency with course material, specifically Socket Programming and C/C++.
    • Ability to mentor students and provide professional critique.
    • Strong communication skills and a reliable, punctual nature.
    • A commitment to the success of fellow students.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Redmond, Washington. You must reside within the State of Washington to be eligible.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Fall 2027 (August 31 – December 11, 2026).
    • Wage: $17.13 - $18.25 per hour, based on experience at the institution.
    • Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks involving sitting, walking, standing, and fine finger dexterity.
