About the role#
DigiPen Institute of Technology is hiring a student for the Bytes Advanced Cook position. This role is for students with professional kitchen experience who want to prepare food and work in a team environment. You will work up to 20 hours per week between August 31, 2026, and August 27, 2027. This position pays $22.50 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and cook menu items using standardized recipes.
- Operate multiple kitchen stations during service.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Monitor food inventory and report restocking needs.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Support general kitchen prep, such as chopping and marinating.
- Keep the kitchen workspace clean and organized.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- At least 1 year of professional cooking experience.
- Good academic standing and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in environments with heat and sharp tools.
- Weekend availability and flexible weekday hours.
