About the role#
This position supports the daily operations of the café at DigiPen Institute of Technology. You will handle dishwashing tasks and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas. This is a paid, part-time role for students during the Summer 2026 and Summer 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Operate the dishwashing machine to clean kitchenware.
- Organize and put away clean dishes.
- Keep the café environment tidy by wiping down tables.
- Collect and return dirty trays from the café.
- Monitor and empty trash in the kitchen and café area.
- Perform sweeping and mopping duties as required.
What you'll need#
- You must be a currently matriculated student at DigiPen.
- Maintain Good Academic Standing and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Hold a WA Food Worker Card or obtain one within your first week of work. The institution covers these costs.
- Ability to work efficiently and arrive on time.
- Note that you cannot work during any time you have a class scheduled.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, United States.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $22.50 per hour.
- Benefits: One meal per shift and provided PPE, including non-slip shoes.
- Hours: Up to 20 hours per week.
- Term: August 31, 2026, through August 27, 2027.
