About the role#
This internship provides experience in the oil and gas industry through a 12-week program in Midland, Texas. You will work on an individual project throughout the summer, which you will present to the executive team at the end of the term. You will also work with an assigned mentor to support daily energy transactions and collaborate with various departments, including operations and accounting.
What you'll do#
- Complete an individual marketing project.
- Assist with daily scheduling, nominations, and production, sales, and flaring reports.
- Review oil and gas sales arrangements, contracts, gas settlement statements, and market pricing.
- Summarize key commercial terms from purchase contracts.
- Visit field operations, including active drilling rigs and completions spreads.
- Participate in intern events and community philanthropic activities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program or higher in Energy Commerce, Energy Marketing, or a similar discipline.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Must be returning to school for the Fall 2027 semester.
- Preference is given to candidates with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher and relevant extracurricular or work experience.
