About the role#
The Marketing Intern supports the Economic Development, Governmental Affairs, and Marketing teams. You will assist with research, stakeholder engagement, and customer support activities. This role provides hands-on experience with marketing initiatives, community relations, and utility business operations. You will contribute to projects that support business growth and community engagement.
What you'll do#
- Conduct industry, market, economic, legislative, and community research to support departmental goals.
- Gather and organize data for reports, presentations, and project summaries.
- Prepare marketing materials, information packets, and customer communications.
- Support the coordination of meetings, stakeholder events, community outreach, and customer visits.
- Maintain project files, databases, and stakeholder information.
- Respond to customer and community inquiries under supervision.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as engineering, operations, and communications on assigned projects.
- Participate in special projects that support business development and community partnerships.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Political Science, Public Relations, Engineering, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct research and present findings clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Initiative, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
