About the role#
The Land Administration Intern will own an assigned summer project and work directly with the Division Order and Lease Administration teams. You will manage the legal and financial ownership of oil and gas assets. This role supports the company in maintaining leases, complying with contracts, and paying royalty owners correctly. You will work under the direction of an experienced mentor for the duration of the 12-week program.
What you'll do#
- Complete an individual Land Administration project and present your findings to the executive team.
- Assist the Division Orders and Lease Administration teams with maintaining acreage, ownership, and agreements.
- Research and analyze title opinions, leases, operating agreements, and other documentation to determine obligations.
- Confirm ownership in operated and non-operated wells to ensure compliance with contracts.
- Interface with other departments to learn how asset teams drive business outcomes.
- Visit field operations, including active drilling rigs and completions spreads.
- Participate in intern events and community service activities.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Energy Management, Energy Commerce, or a similar discipline.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Must be returning to school for the Fall 2027 semester.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher is preferred.
- Prior work experience or extracurricular achievements are a plus.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
- The term runs for approximately 12 weeks from May to August 2027.
- You must be willing to work in Oklahoma City for the duration of the internship.
