About the role#
Dewberry is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our New York City office for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position that provides exposure to various engineering disciplines within a consulting firm. You will work under the supervision of a registered Professional Engineer on projects that mirror the work of full-time staff.
What you'll do#
- Learn basic AutoCAD skills to help create office details and standards.
- Assist senior engineers with shop drawings and contractor RFI processing.
- Prepare mechanical engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
- Participate in workshops, networking events, and a summer-long group project focused on firm strategy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS program for Mechanical Engineering.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs like Word and Excel.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
- A strong interest in mechanical and consulting engineering.
