    About the role#

    We are looking for a Water Resources Engineering Intern to join our team in Fairfax, VA, for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship where you will work on projects similar to those handled by our full-time staff. You will gain hands-on experience while applying current technology to help clients solve technical problems.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with a team of professionals on active projects.
    • Develop technical skills through real-world assignments.
    • Participate in professional development workshops and networking events.
    • Engage in a summer-long group project focused on firm strategy.
    • Attend sessions on career planning and effective teamwork.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
    • Knowledge of water quality and wastewater modeling, plus water quality regulatory issues.
    • Understanding of floodplain delineation, storm water management, drainage design, and culvert or bridge hydraulics.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office software.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Previous internship experience is preferred.

    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $18.75 to $29.75 per hour.
