About the role#
Dewberry is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Charlotte, North Carolina. This internship provides exposure to multiple disciplines including roadway, structural, and drainage design, as well as traffic engineering and transportation planning. Interns participate in a tailored training program, professional development workshops, and a summer-long group project working alongside firm leaders.
What you'll do#
- Develop and evaluate engineering solutions.
- Prepare design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and drawings.
- Assist with various studies and document results.
- Adhere to assigned project schedules and budgets.
- Write internal communications and perform other assigned duties.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in transportation.
- Solid oral and written communication skills.
- A desire to work in a team environment.
- Experience using CADD software, such as Microstation or AutoCAD, is preferred.
