About the role#
Dewberry is looking for a Site/Civil Engineering Intern to join the team in Charlotte, North Carolina for Summer 2027. You will work on projects for commercial and government clients, ranging from residential and industrial site development to capital improvement projects. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Design site and civil developments, including grading and roadways.
- Create designs for storm water management systems and erosion and sediment control.
- Prepare technical calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
- Work with design teams to produce detailed construction plans.
- Conduct code research, write specifications, and assist with permitting.
- Participate in company workshops, networking events, and a summer-long group project.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. program for Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
