About the role#
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student to join our team for an 8-month term. This role is based in either our Vancouver or Nanaimo office. You will work alongside experienced engineers and designers on industrial and engineering projects. This is a full-time, paid position designed to provide hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary consulting environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist mechanical engineers and designers with project deliverables and design tasks.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, specifications, and calculations.
- Help with equipment selection, layouts, and other mechanical design activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in project meetings.
- Conduct field reviews, site visits, and data collection as needed.
- Apply classroom knowledge to real-world project challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering degree program at a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Eligibility to complete an 8-month co-op work term.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a professional environment.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
