About the role#
We are looking for a Microsoft Power Platform & AI Intern to join us for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Reston, Virginia. You will gain professional experience in software development and government technology consulting by working with our teams on real federal missions. This role requires the ability to obtain a public trust clearance or higher, and US citizenship is required.
What you'll do#
- Participate in Agile software delivery activities including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
- Design and develop Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and SharePoint solutions based on business requirements.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Research new Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Azure capabilities to help solve client challenges.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and solution diagrams.
- Work with AI-assisted development tools and explore the use of Microsoft Copilot and Azure AI services to improve business processes.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on a team-based technology project to be presented at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or another technology-related field.
- Familiarity with one or more Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, Power BI, Azure, or Microsoft Copilot.
- Coursework or hands-on experience with a programming or scripting language such as Python, JavaScript, C#, Java, or PowerShell.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.

- Location: Reston, Virginia.
- Work Modality: This position is hybrid, requiring you to commute to the office a minimum of two days per week.
