About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to work within the Network and Technology Digital Group. You will contribute to the infrastructure that supports our 5G network. This is a full-time, 10-week summer position designed for students to gain experience in an AI-first environment. You will work on projects that influence network performance and the experience of our customers.
What you'll do#
- Support engineers in the design, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
- Take ownership of projects that directly impact network performance.
- Act as an integrator and verifier for new technical solutions.
- Stress-test, evaluate, and deploy agentic AI solutions into enterprise workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program at Rutgers University, NJIT, NYU, UT Dallas, UT Arlington, or Texas A&M University.
- An expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Good academic standing.
- Ability to work full-time for 10 weeks between June 2027 and August 2027.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or future sponsorship.
- Willingness to travel and relocate if necessary.
- Foundational knowledge of network protocols and topologies, including TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, and MPLS.
- Hands-on experience with applied AI and autonomous agent orchestration.
- Demonstrated experience in scripting and coding, such as Python, Java, or R.
- Strong critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.
- Experience driving cross-functional projects using data-backed reasoning and process simplification.
- Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
- A track record of rapid skill acquisition and entrepreneurial initiative.
Location & details#
- Location: Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
- Modality: Hybrid, with a requirement to be in the office for a minimum of three days per week as set by your manager.
- Compensation: $27.00 per hour.
- Benefits: Eligible for holiday pay and a 401(k) Savings Plan with a company match on the first 6% of contributions.
