About the role#
This is an 11-week summer internship for students interested in embedded systems and HVAC engineering. You will work on individual and group projects while collaborating with teams across the organization. This role focuses on requirement decomposition, system design, and verification for HVAC equipment and smart home devices.
What you'll do#
- Develop system-level requirements and verification plans for air handlers, furnaces, thermostats, and IoT devices.
- Analyze refrigeration systems to create control logic for HVAC equipment.
- Create test strategies for bench and lab testing of hardware and firmware.
- Translate system requirements into detailed design specifications.
- Work with hardware and software engineers to integrate system components.
- Maintain system architecture, documentation, and test plans.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers.
- Perform root cause analysis to solve production problems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering program.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Understanding of electro-mechanical systems.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must not require sponsorship now or in the future.
