About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide care for patients in a retail setting. This role focuses on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance. You will assist in managing patient care programs and contribute to a positive team environment.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy work environment.
- Manage patient care programs to help customers stay healthy.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Promote a team culture centered on energy, enthusiasm, and care.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Work with the team to handle inventory and workflow management tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to lift, scan, and bag items, as well as remain upright for extended periods.
- Proficiency in moving, reaching, and performing tasks requiring finger dexterity.
- Availability to work nights and weekends.
