About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist by providing an overview of store, district, and regional operations. You will assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled accurately.
What you'll do#
- Support the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly and safely.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Offer to counsel, field medical questions, and solicit information on patient medical history.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify prescriptions.
- Perform inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries and cycle counts.
What you'll need#
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possess or be in the process of obtaining a valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to complete required training within a designated timeframe.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
