About the role#
TriHealth is hiring a Pharmacy Intern to work at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. This role supports the hospital-wide unit-dose drug distribution system and the intravenous admixture program under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. This is a PRN position that includes a rotation of weekends and holidays.
What you'll do#
- Perform technical and clerical duties for the drug distribution system.
- Prepare intravenous medications, including chemotherapeutic preparations, hyperalimentations, and antibiotics.
- Pre-fill patient cassette drawers with a 24-hour supply of unit dose medications.
- Procure and fill requests for pharmaceutical supplies.
- Deliver supplies to nursing units.
- Enter and retrieve data using the computer system while maintaining confidential reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy.
- A high school diploma.
- Registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern.
- Up to 1 year of experience in a related field.

- Schedule: PRN with optional hours and a weekend and holiday rotation.
