About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a preceptor to support pharmacy operations and patient care. This role is based in Huntington Beach, California, and involves direct interaction with patients and healthcare professionals. You will gain professional experience through the ExperienceRx program while contributing to the daily functions of the pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Participate in all aspects of the prescription filling process.
- Provide patient counseling and assist with patient care programs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
- Offer health screenings and immunizations.
- Manage pharmacy inventory and regulatory requirements.
- Assist both pharmacy and front store customers with questions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a School of Pharmacy.
- An active Pharmacy Intern License in the state of California.
- You must not be on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, part-time position located in Huntington Beach, California.
- The role is paid, with a typical hourly pay range between $16.00 and $23.10 depending on experience and year in school.
- Hiring is conducted on a rolling basis.
