About the role#
This position is designed for students currently enrolled in an imaging program or an Allied Health field of study. Working under the direction of a radiologist and the supervision of department management, you will gain practical experience in clinical patient care, equipment maintenance, and department operations.
What you'll do#
- Work directly with patients and families to provide care, including patient observation and assistance with personal needs.
- Coordinate the flow of patients throughout the department and assist with patient transport.
- Provide clerical support and maintain accurate records.
- Support department operations by maintaining equipment, performing quality control procedures, and assisting team members.
- Comply with infection prevention procedures and safety standards.
- Recognize changes in patient status and call for appropriate assistance when needed.
- Demonstrate initiative by seeking additional assignments and supporting the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an approved Allied Health program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- CPR certification.
- Knowledge of radiation safety.
