About the role#
This Laboratory Co-Op position provides clinical laboratory experience for students in Allied Health Science programs. You will work alongside laboratory professionals to gain practical skills in waived and moderate complexity testing. This role is designed to help you meet the education and training requirements needed to pursue certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist. Upon completion of your training plan, you will be eligible to apply for open positions within TriHealth laboratory locations.
What you'll do#
- Perform waived and moderate complexity testing under supervision.
- Manage your workload by prioritizing and organizing tasks effectively.
- Ensure the accuracy, quality, and completeness of all laboratory work.
- Complete complex assignments as delegated.
- Apply judgment and problem-solving skills to daily tasks.
- Retrieve and process data as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an approved program for a specific field of study in Allied Health, such as Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Health Administration, Nursing, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Completion of or current participation in required clinical training.
- Agreement to a specific education and training plan upon hiring.

- Location: Montgomery, Ohio.
- Work Modality: On-site at Bethesda North Hospital.
- Schedule: PRN with optional day shift hours. No weekend or holiday rotation is required.
- Employment Type: Part-time, paid position.
