About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist by providing hands-on experience with store, district, and regional operations. You will support the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and patients receive safe, accurate care.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap including key learning experiences and activities.
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily operations, including prescription fulfillment and workflow procedures.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care during interactions.
- Support immunization services, including patient education and documentation, upon completion of required training and certification.
- Maintain focus on tasks to ensure patient safety and compliance with all laws and company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Capacity to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in prescription fulfillment and patient safety.
