About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide patient care and maintain a safe retail pharmacy environment. This position involves direct interaction with patients and collaboration with the pharmacy team to support health outcomes and manage pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Deliver patient care while supporting patient care programs to keep customers healthy.
- Maintain a safe and effective work environment by adhering to regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Lead with empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Foster a team culture that encourages energy and pride.
- Handle pharmacy tasks including inventory management and workflow support.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 pounds, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Preferred: Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
