Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. This role is designed for students to gain professional experience while contributing to patient care, safety, and pharmacy workflow management.

What you'll do#

• Lead patient care programs to support customer health and wellness.
• Display empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Maintain a safe and effective work environment by following regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
• Manage customer service inquiries and pharmacy inventory.
• Complete required training and strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Possession of, or the process of obtaining, a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and reaching.
