About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide care to patients in a retail setting. This role involves managing patient care programs and maintaining a safe, effective work environment. You will help patients manage chronic conditions and provide advice on prescriptions.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to each patient while following regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to keep customers healthy.
- Lead with empathy for patients, caregivers, and your colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture built on enthusiasm and pride.
- Align your team around the company's purpose.
- Perform tasks such as inventory management, workflow management, and customer service.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
- Availability to work nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: South Charleston, West Virginia.
- This is an on-site, part-time position.
- The role is paid, with a typical pay range of $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
