About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide patient care and maintain a safe retail pharmacy environment. You will assist in delivering patient care programs, managing pharmacy workflow, and ensuring quality assurance. This role is part-time and involves a commitment to supporting patients on their path to better health.
What you'll do#
- Deliver patient care programs and provide exceptional service to customers and patients.
- Manage inventory and pharmacy workflow processes.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure patient safety and adherence to professional practice standards.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and patients to provide instructions and support.
- Complete required training and maintain licensure within state guidelines.
- Perform physical tasks including scanning, bagging items, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
