About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role focuses on maintaining a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while delivering care to patients. You will assist with patient care programs, manage inventory, and support workflow operations.
What you'll do#
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Manage patient care programs to support customer health.
- Facilitate a positive team culture focused on energy and collaboration.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Collaborate with others to improve patient outcomes and align the team with company goals.
- Ensure all required training is completed within state guidelines and timeframes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain a regular schedule including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and reaching.
- Close visual acuity for reading and computer work.
- Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are preferred.
