    About the role#

    The Oncology Medical Affairs Intern joins the medical team to support scientific and clinical projects. You will work at the intersection of medicine, diagnostics, and healthcare strategy. This role provides exposure to how clinical evidence is generated and communicated to support precision oncology.

    What you'll do#

    • Conduct literature reviews and summarize clinical evidence.
    • Assist in the development of scientific materials, presentations, and educational resources.
    • Track scientific congress activities, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to identify emerging trends.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Medical Affairs, Commercial, Research, and Market Access.
    • Contribute to special projects that advance organizational objectives.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, PharmD, PhD, or MD program.
    • Academic focus in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Public Health, Genetics, Pharmacy, or Medicine.
    • 3-6 months of previous internship, research, clinical, or laboratory experience.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
    • Preferred: 2 years of undergraduate coursework completed.
    • Preferred: 1 year of experience reviewing scientific literature, conducting research, or analyzing data.
    • Preferred: 1 year of experience with scientific publications, poster presentations, or medical communications.

    • Location: Durham, North Carolina.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (June 1, 2027, to August 13, 2027).
    • Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
    • Note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
