About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role focuses on delivering patient care and maintaining a safe, effective work environment in a retail setting. You will handle daily pharmacy operations and help patients manage their health needs.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to patients and customers.
- Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
- Manage pharmacy inventory and daily workflow.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, stooping, and maintaining extended periods of standing.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Junction City, Kansas.
- This is a part-time, on-site position.
- The role is paid with a typical pay range of $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
