About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist by providing an overview of store, district, and regional operations. You will operate as part of a pharmacy team, following company standards to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy teams to deliver on our brand promise.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap and key learning experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures at each workstation.
- Maintain high self-awareness and provide coaching to pharmacy team members.
- Help with prescription fulfillment, patient interactions, and inventory activities.
- Maintain flexibility for scheduling and business needs, including potential travel to other store locations.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into, or active enrollment in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks over a period of time.
- Skill in confirming prescription information and label accuracy.
- Ability to use math to solve problems, such as calculating dosage or supply counts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods.
